The Royal Standard of England, Beaconsfield. HP9 1XT

This walk can be muddy if wet, and sturdy shoes are recommended in all weathers.
The RVP is a Pay & Display car park £1.20 for 2 hrs, £1.80 for 3 hrs so please bring change for the ticket.
The pub is about 15 minutes drive and maps and directions will be provided.

Getting to the RVP
For those coming from the Teddington area, you should make your way to the M25 either via the M3 at Sunbury or the M4 at Cranford Parkway (A312) and turn on to the M25 heading towards the M40 (clockwise).  Take the exit on to the M40 heading towards Oxford and then exit at the next junction turning right on to the A355 towards Beaconsfield. At the next roundabout turn left on to the A40 and the keep in the right hand lane approaching the next roundabout.  Turn right on to the A355 and follow this road all the way to Amersham. As you come down the hill into Amersham, go straight across the first roundabout and then turn left at the next roundabout.  Take the first turning on the right into the Dovecote Car Park.

Driving directions to The Royal Standard of England, Forty Green Road, Beaconsfield

Starting from Dovecote Car Park

  • Turn left onto The Broadway
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Gore Hill / A355
    Go straight on at next roundabout and continue to follow A355
  • After 3.5 miles,turn right onto Ledborough Lane
  • Turn right at the T-Junction onto Penn Road /B474
  • After 0.6 miles turn left onto Forty Green Rd (just before the Red Lion pub)
    Follow road for 0.8 miles and turn right up lane to the Royal Standard of England (the Pub sign is high up on the right)
