We will stroll from Rotherhithe Tube Station along the Thames riverside passing wharves and warehouses, upon which Dickens based parts of "Oliver Twist". Passing Tower Bridge and Ken Livingstone's Folly and onto London Bridge. The walk will finish at the replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, the Golden Hinde (just past Southwark Cathedral) and lunch will be at the pub next to the ship. |
